University of Rzeszów acquired land for the construction of the University Hospital

20.08.2021

The authorities of the Świlcza commune decided to donate over 35 hectares of land to the University of Rzeszów (UR) for the construction of the University Hospital. A preliminary organizational chart has already been prepared for the hospital, which will be built in Świlcza near Rzeszów.

In the next few weeks, all the formalities will be completed and from that moment on, the university will have to start work within six weeks.

The donation is conditional. If work on the construction of the university hospital complex does not start by 2027, the areas must return to the local government – explains Adam Dziedzic, mayor of the Świlcza commune, who emphasizes that the creation of a university hospital will provide opportunities for the development of the university, as well as the commune.

It is also the expansion of infrastructure, the possibility of educating our youth in medical faculties and better access to health care – said Adam Dziedzic.
