The Institute of Linguistics of the University of Silesia in Katowice is organizing the 4th Sosnowiec Linguistic Forum, which will be held from 27 to 28 September. The theme of the international conference will be: “Semantics – Grammar – Stylistics”.

The aim of the conference will be to present research perspectives in contemporary linguistics, especially Slavic studies, taking into account traditional and new methodological approaches. Discussion of linguists will enable the exchange of experiences and getting acquainted with the directions of work carried out by research centers.

The proposed thematic sections include: comparative research within the Slavic languages; cultural and social aspects of language; corpus research in linguistic analysis; discourse in Slavic studies and linguistics versus didactics of foreign languages.

Due to possible limitations caused by the pandemic, the conference will be held remotely via the MS Teams platform. The working languages ​​of the conference are Polish and Russian.
