The University of Silesia, represented by the Institute of History and the City of Katowice are launching the project “Historical and Society Educatorium”. The project is made possible thanks to the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The project aims to improve the quality of teaching of the subjects history, history and the present and social studies in Katowice schools. 

The educational materials prepared by experts will make it easier for teachers to teach about the often difficult and sensitive subject of relations between Poland and Ukraine throughout history. They will also help show the differences in the perception of important historical and social events.

Raising pupils’ awareness of the history of Poland and Ukraine and deepening their mutual relations through education are intended to build greater tolerance and understanding between the nations.
