During the Strategic Assembly, the annual meeting of the Transform4Europe alliance members, a Science Slam was held for the first time. In the initiative, five people from the four alliance universities shared their scientific passions. Second place in the competition was awarded to Dr Ewa Wylężek from the University of Silesia in Katowice with her presentation “Heimat, Hajmat, Homeland – how do minorities communicate?”.
Science Slam is a unique science communication format in which researchers present their work in a light-hearted format, in a way that can be understood by a wide audience. Each participant had 10 minutes to present their own research, using any props and visual aids.
The aim of Science Slam is to make science accessible and engaging to a wider audience, to foster dialogue between scientists and the public, and to showcase the diversity of research topics and methods across all fields of science.
