The University of Silesia and the Copernicus Science Center will cooperate in implementing projects under the Young Explorer Program (KMO). The university will become a regional partner of the program and their cooperation will be inaugurated on 18 April with a scientific conference on the activities of the KMO.
The conference program includes lectures and workshops on teaching methodologies through inquiry, research projects, opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the ESERO program (European Space Education Office) and visiting laboratories of the Silesian Inter-University Center for Education and Interdisciplinary Research.
The aim of the KMO project is to involve children and young people in the process of learning through personal, shared experience, inspiring their curiosity and learning skills. As part of the program, over 700 clubs were established to support the development of physical, mathematical, natural and socio-civic competences in children and adolescents.
