The Institute of Philology of the East Slavic University of Silesia and the Translation Commission at the International Committee of Slavists invite participants to the fifth conference “Translation spaces” on October 24 and 25.

The conference will be an opportunity to meet translators representing numerous centers in the country and abroad. A broad approach to the subject, included in the conference title, will allow to take into account different methodological approaches.

The subject will be both general issues, as well as detailed phenomena analyzed on the basis of translations of literature and specialist texts. The fifth program will include a new section devoted to the problem of the use of new technologies in the translation.

The working languages of the conference will be Polish and Russian. The papers should be sent by 20 June by email to the following e-mail address: przestrzenieprzekladu@us.edu.pl
