The University of Silesia has signed an agreement with the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Katowice. The agreement concerns the transfer of over 250 thousand PLN for the purchase of teaching equipment for the university’s Aerospace Mobile Atmosphere Control Laboratory ULKA.
The fund has been co-financing the purchase of teaching equipment for years. This is the fifth time in a row to finance the development of the university’s teaching potential in the area of research and protection of air purity. It allowed to obtain over 20 high-class research devices.
The funding enables the education of students in air pollution analysis and protection of the atmosphere through the use of the most modern measurement methods and conducting research in the field of climate change. The equipment allowed for the education of several dozen students, the performance of several bachelor’s and master’s theses and in the near future also the completion of doctoral theses.
