The European Commission has announced the results of the second European Universities competition. The University of Silesia (UŚ) in Katowice joined the group of consortia that obtained the status of the European University – a member of a group of universities joined by the idea of ”Transform4Europe – T4E: The European University for Knowledge Entrepreneurs”.
The consortium consists of the German Saarland University of Saarbrücken (leader), the Spanish University of Alicante, the Italian Università degli Studi di Trieste, the Sofia University of St. Clement of Ohrid (Bulgaria), the Lithuanian University of Vytautas the Great in Kaunas and the Estonian Academy of Fine Arts in Tallinn and University of Silesia.
European Universities are an initiative to strengthen academic exchange, research capacity and the international competitiveness of European universities. The project is aimed at consortia that include various European research centers.
