Aleksandra Werner, a doctoral student at the University of Szczecin, was the winner of the 18th Open Doors National Competition of the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled. This year’s edition of the competition was attended by the authors of 14 doctoral dissertations and 28 master’s theses, as well as 1 project of a scientific club.
Aleksandra Werner won third place in the medical rehabilitation category for her thesis entitled ‘Tourism for people with disabilities in the context of facilities and limitations for the city of Szczecin on selected examples’. The thesis was supervised by Prof. Grażyna Rosa, PhD – Director of the Institute of Spatial Management and Social and Economic Geography at the Szczecin University.
The research subject of the thesis submitted for the competition is disability in the following dimensions: health, occupational and social, as well as technological solutions serving people with disabilities.
