The University of Szczecin has formalised cooperation with the Polish Geological Institute (PGI) The partners have begun cooperation in the creation and implementation of joint scientific and didactic projects related to the Earth and environmental sciences and the dissemination of knowledge on geology.

PGI undertakes to make available materials and other information for educational purposes, as well as to enable students of the Institute of Marine and Environmental Sciences (INoMIŚ) to undertake professional internships and to write their bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral theses in the area of activity and in cooperation with PGI.

INoMIŚ is committed, among other things, to enabling the transfer of research results and providing advice in the work carried out by PGI-PIB. It is also important to enable workshops or lectures to be conducted by PGI employees or representatives at INoMIŚ’s premises, as well as to recommend PGI as an institution where students can undergo professional practice, the university’s website reads.
