The Sociology of Religion Section of the Polish Sociological Society and the Institute of Sociology of the University of Szczecin are inviting participants on September 22 and 23 to the scientific conference “Religion in culture and society – questions about duration and change”.
New contexts allow people to see religion both as still integrated into culture and social life, and confronted with new trends. In the face of clashes of ideas and positions, the role of reflection and discussion by social scientists becomes even more important. Szczecin conference will be an excellent opportunity for it.
The thematic areas proposed by the organizers include religion and religiosity in the face of a pandemic situation, religion and cultural changes in social institutions, cultural changes inside religious institutions, as well as the state, power and religion, religion in contemporary popular culture, contemporary art in relation to religion, and theoretical approaches to contemporary religious and related phenomena.
