The National Center for Research and Development allocated over PLN 5.8 million for the implementation of the “University Accessibility Knowledge Center” project. The partner of the initiative is the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin.
The center is to be a research and training unit, with a dedicated training platform, specialist and mobile equipment rental, and stationary live streaming. There will also be a simulation room for awareness training equipped with a virtual reality simulator.
The Center is tasked with raising to the leading position in spreading the idea of accessibility and universal design among entities involved in creating the socio-economic reality. The unit is also to develop standards for universal services based on the principles of universal design in the area of digitization and communication.
