The University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn and the local government of the Warmia and Mazury voivodship signed an agreement on regional partnership. Its main goal is to create and develop joint activities.

The contract was signed by Prof. Jerzy Przyborowski, rector of UWM and Gustaw Marek Brzezin, Marshal of the voivodeship.

It is the first regional partnership agreement in the history of the voivodeship, which consists in creating and developing joint ventures and activities between the University of Warmia and Mazury and the voivodeship self-government.

In the preamble to the agreement, both parties declared intention to cooperate in the participation of the University in the works indicated by the voivodeship: committees, forums, working groups, teams (advisory, opinion-making, developing, monitoring, evaluation; participation in the jury of competitions; participation of the University as a partner in the implementation of programs indicated by the voivodeship mutual participation in projects carried out by both parties.
