The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn was awarded the Medal of Professor Stanisław Fryze of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers. On behalf of the university, the medal was received by Prof. Jerzy Jaroszewski, Vice-Rector for Science.

The Association of Polish Electrical Engineers celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. This is a scientific and technical non-governmental organization. The Association awards the Medal to academic teachers or high schools for outstanding scientific and didactic activity in the field of electrics as well as institutions and schools for merit in supporting didactic activities related to electrical engineering, energy, bionics, and information technologies.

The University of Warmia and Mazury conducts education in the field of technical sciences mainly at the faculties of Technical Sciences and Geodesy of Spatial Engineering and Construction.
