The topic of the 25th jubilee Political Science Congress of Central Europe, which took place on November 18-19, 2021 at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn was Challenges for democracy: political processes in Central and Eastern Europe.
About 150 scientists from 21 mainly European countries, but also from Canada and Pakistan, participated in the event. In addition to a wide representation of scientists from Polish universities, scientists from universities from Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovenia, Ukraine, Germany and Russia participated in the congress.
The participants of the congress included also representatives of the authorities of the Central European Association of Political Sciences – its president Dr Miro Haczek from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia and Dr Boglarka Koller from the National University of Public Service in Budapest, as well as Prof. Jerzy Wiatr – the first president of the Association.
During the Congress, scientists listened to numerous lectures and participated in two round discussions devoted to the challenges of political science during the pandemic and the future of political science.
