From 20 to 22 April, the 3rd international ToGetAir Climate Summit has taken place at the University of Warsaw (UW). The theme of the event is renewable energy sources in the current geopolitical situation.
The Summit is attended by university experts, representatives of non-governmental organizations, as well as ministries and provincial governments, representatives of state-owned companies, non-governmental organizations, international corporations and smaller companies involved in climate protection and the media.
Each of the three days of the Summit deals with a different issue including “Climate neutrality”, “Eco-economy of the 21st century” and “Partnership for the climate”. Ten debates are held daily, preceded by an English-language panel devoted to global and European issues.
Through its mission and strategy implemented in research, teaching and social activities, the University of Warsaw has undertaken a number of initiatives, programs and projects that help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. “There is no backup Earth, we have only one chance, it is something to fight for”, said Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, rector of the University of Warsaw.
