Rectors of the University of Warsaw (UW) and the Medical University of Warsaw (WUM) confirmed that strengthening cooperation especially in the field of scientific research, remains the priority of both universities.

The rectors of Warsaw universities pointed out that “the COVID-19 pandemic once again showed how crucial is the cooperation in life and health, social, exact sciences and humanities, and how unique are both universities in this field.”

It was also reminded that in the last year they took intensive efforts to put this cooperation in a new organizational framework through creating the federation of both universities. They developed the concept of the federation and the draft of its statute, which were positively evaluated by the rector’s authorities, Senates and University Councils and directed to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
