In the latest world university ranking, prepared by Quacquarelli Symonds, the University of Warsaw (UW) was ranked 262nd, moving up 22 positions from the previous year. At the same time, it was ranked highest among universities in Poland.
The QS World University Rankings is one of the most prestigious lists of universities in the world. A total of almost 1,500 institutions are included in the 2024 edition. The ranking is based on nine indicators: the university’s reputation, reputation among employers, citability, student-faculty ratio, number of international students and staff, international research network, graduate employment results and sustainability.
Twenty-two Polish universities were ranked in the list. In addition to UW, Jagiellonian University in Krakow (302nd place) and Warsaw University of Technology (571st place) were ranked highest.
