The European Center of the University of Warsaw (UW) will implement the grant “Balkan ambitions and Polish inspirations”, aimed to deepen international cooperation, including academic cooperation, and to get to know each other and understand the specificity of individual countries participating in its implementation.

The grant is a public task financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under which workshops, webinars and conferences will be organized to present the experiences of political, economic, social and cultural transformations, as well as the most important further challenges for Poland and the Balkan states.

The project will present Poland’s achievements resulting from the transformation in the following dimensions: security, socio-economic and cultural dimensions, and define the challenges facing Poland. The needs and problems of North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, resulting from their different historical and political experiences, will also be identified, and the most important areas of further development of these countries will be presented.
