The Interdisciplinary Center for Mathematical and Computational Modeling of the University of Warsaw (ICM UW) has launched a new website, covid-19.icm.edu.pl, presenting the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus spread model in Poland.

The Epidemiological Model of the ICM UW enables to predict potential paths of further development of the COVID-19 epidemic in Poland, as well as to study various scenarios and effects caused by dynamically applied administrative restrictions.

The website also includes research on zoonoses by Dr Aneta Afelt, the results of predictions of the development of a pandemic in a short time scale until January 31, 2021, as well as possible variants of the spread of the epidemic in longer periods of time and assuming appropriate restrictions or disease parameters.

The website also allows users to familiarize yourself with an interactive map of the pandemic in the world and to track and compare the scale of the disease in individual countries.
