The University of Warsaw (UW) has launched a winter school “Memory in conflict” devoted to the complexity of European memories. Almost 30 students and PhD students, mainly from the universities of the 4EU + Alliance will participate in it.

The event is organized as part of the second flagship program ‘Europe in a changing world: understanding societies, economies, cultures and languages’.
The subject of winter school is collective memory of conflicts and conflicted memories created during mutual experiences. It is attended by doctoral students and students from the universities of the 4EU + Alliance: the University of Warsaw, the Charles University in Prague, the University of Heidelberg, the University of Copenhagen, the Sorbonne University. They are representatives of various scientific disciplines: psychology, sociology, anthropology, history, literature, political science and cultural studies.
