The Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw (UW) intends to launch free for EU citizens, two-year MA history studies in English as early as next academic year (from October 2023): History of Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations.
The study programme will be structured on the basis of: history (70%), archaeology (20%) and cultural and religious studies (10%). In addition to classes in general knowledge of the ancient world, it is also a proposal for intensive, practical study of the ancient language to the extent of reading and interpreting sources (for example, Greek, Latin, Akkadian Aramaic).
A large block of classes on modern digital tools in the research workshop is also planned, as well as rich field activities: from practical geodata collection to a Mediterranean tour.
A digital lab is being set up in the Faculty, which will be the base for the training sessions.
