The Botanical Garden of the University of Wroclaw, Arboretum in Wojsławice received the Honorary Green Laurel awarded for the creation of the Polish Millennium Garden. The award was presented in Warsaw during the 27th International Exhibition “Green is Life”.

The Polish Millennium Garden is an unusual and the richest collection of cultivars – cultivated varieties of ornamental and fruit plants, grown by man and not found in the wild, obtained by Polish gardeners.

– Many Polish varieties have been successful internationally, praising our country in the farthest corners of the world. Others, once very popular, have been forgotten due to historical turbulence. The Polish Millennium Garden restores many of them. It presents the achievements of Polish gardening, popularizes Polish varieties for hundreds of thousands of guests visiting the Arboretum every year.
