The University of Wroclaw (UW) is one of the universities participating in the European Universities competition organized by the European Commission. The University of Wrocław is applying for funding within the InclusU network (Inclusive-ness in / for the European Union).
The agreement was signed by: University of Wrocław, University of Malmö (Sweden), Michał Römer University (Lithuania), Babeş-Bolyai University (Romania). Roma Tre University (Italy), University of Minho (Portugal) and University of Lille (France). The InclusU network would have a total of 224,000. students and 19 thousand employees.
The president of France, Emmanuel Macron, appealed in 2017 for the creation of twenty “European Universities” – networks of long-term universities cooperating with each other. These consortia would enable students to obtain a degree in education at several European institutions simultaneously. It would foster international integration and translate to a higher level of education.
