The University of Wrocław has received targeted treasury bonds worth PLN 110 million from Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. They will be earmarked for the construction of the Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation Centre at the University of Wrocław and the seat of the Institute of Musicology, for which a new joint building will be constructed, as well as for the construction of the Kornel Morawiecki Centre for Physical and Chemical Research.
PLN 30 million will be allocated for the construction of the Cooperation Centre, which will support Ukrainian science through cooperation between the university and Ukrainian universities and the rebuilding of the didactic potential of Ukrainian universities. It will also house teaching projects in support of Ukrainian refugees.
The remaining bonds worth PLN 80 million will be used to build the Kornel Morawiecki Centre for Physical and Chemical Research. It will house the Institute of Experimental Physics, the Institute of Theoretical Physics, the dean’s office of the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy and the Faculty of Chemistry”.
