A system supporting the search for missing persons in vast open areas thanks to computer analysis of images taken with a drone by a scientist from the University of Wrocław has won a distinction in the ‘Polish Product of the Future’ competition. It was awarded in the product of the future category of higher education and science institutions and entrepreneurs.
The SARUAV system for detecting people in aerial photographs is the work of Professor Tomasz Niedzielski and his team. It was developed and implemented by SARUAV, a company operating under the auspices of the University of Wrocław and bound to the university by a prototype licence agreement (spin-off).
“There was a lot of competition. This distinction is very important for the company, the use of the logo “Polish Product of the Future” makes our product even more credible among customers, and please remember that our customers are very demanding, rescue services need reliable and proven tools”, says Professor Niedzielski.
