The team of the University of Wrocław, Kamil Chadaj, Cyprian Herl and Mateusz Jakubiszyn, took first place in the finals of the Moot Court tournament “Legal representation before the National Appeals Chamber” organized by the Public Procurement Law Association. The honorary patronage over the second tournament was taken by the President of the Public Procurement Office.
In the first stage of the competition, the jury was assessing pleadings, the quality of legal argumentation and the manner of its presentation, as well as the formal correctness of the pleadings. The final part consisted in the participation of the teams as parties’ attorneys in a simulated hearing before the National Appeal Chamber (KIO).
The final of the competition resembled a real struggle in front of the National Appeals Chamber. When assessing the oral presentations, the jurors took into account not only their substantive level but also their composure and the ability to respond to jury members’ questions as well as the accuracy of the replicas.
