The University of Wroclaw (UW) is the first scientific and research institution from Poland which was admitted to the European network of Urban Experts Research Alliance (UERA),- an organization specializing in urban development issues.
The UERA network brings together over 50 universities and research institutions from 18 European Union countries. It was established in order to develop and provide cities with specialist knowledge and practical solutions in managing them.
The network works on behalf of the European Commission under the JPI Urban Europe joint program initiative. Representatives of the public sector, including local governments, expert institutions and other entities specializing in urban issues, participate in this activity for Europe.
Dr Aldona Wiktorska-Święcka from the Department of European Studies.was elected to the UERA Board for the term 2019-2021, as the first scholar from Central and Eastern Europe.
