Dr Marta Dalecka from the University of Zielona Góra’s Department of Physical Education and Sport, who serves as Vice President of the Academic Sports Association’s Board of Directors for Sports for People with Disabilities, is participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program in the United States.
Participants in the programme do not apply, but are selected, nominated and then invited to participate by diplomats working at the US embassy and must be current or future leaders in government, politics, media, education, labour relations, the arts, business and other fields.
Dr Dalecka was nominated by the US Department of State to participate in the programme, during which she is implementing the international project ‘Disability Sports for Social Change and Inclusion’. During her stay in the US, she is visiting numerous sports centres, universities, schools, governmental organisations, associations and foundations working for the social inclusion of people with disabilities.
