Over 100 experts from Poland and abroad participated in the 6th International Scientific Conference ‘Tourism in valuable natural areas’. This joint venture of the Institute of Forest Sciences of the Faculty of Construction and Environmental Sciences of the Bialystok University of Technology and the Kronenberg Institute took place on October 17-18 in Białowieża.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Białowieża National Park and was attended by scientists, specialists in the field of protection of natural and cultural heritage, foresters, planners, entrepreneurs, local government officials and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
This year’s discussion concerned such topics as: tourism in regional development strategies, digitization and new technologies in tourism, tourism in sustainable forestry, quality in tourist services. Legal issues of protection of valuable natural areas and international solutions in tourism were also presented.
