On June 9-13, 2019, the VIII Congress of Metrology took place in Augustów. The meeting was organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Białystok University of Technology in cooperation with the Białystok Branch of the Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Electrotechnics.

The aim of the Congress of Metrology was to exchange views and experiences and present the results of research on the problems of modern metrology.

The subject of unit measurement standards, service of measures, evaluation of measurement accuracy, measurement and data transmission systems, measuring transducers, signal processing methods and measurements of mechanical, electrical, geometric and chemical quantities were discussed.

The Congress of Metrology is a scientific conference in which the majority of national centers dealing with metrology and its application take part. Scientific support over the Congress was taken up by the Committee of Metrology and Scientific Equipment of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
