Representatives of China’s Shandong Agriculture and Engineering University (SDAEU), including the university’s rector Jinjing Li, came to Opole University of Technology (PO) to see the university’s teaching and laboratory facilities and the dormitories where Chinese students will reside. The visit is related to cooperation in the education of environmental engineering specialists.
The partners recently signed an agreement on a dual degree programme in environmental engineering at a Chinese university. It states that the education of future environmental engineering specialists will serve China’s environmental protection and sustainable development strategy. The programme is funded by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
Over the next five semesters (from April 2024), academic staff from the mechanical engineering department will teach selected classes to SDAEU students in China, after which, in 2026/27, a group of students interested in obtaining a PO degree will come to Opole for their final year of study.
