“We want to develop cooperation not only in the field of sinology, but also in economic and social sciences. This is a great development prospect for us”, said Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, rector of the University of Warsaw (UW), during a meeting at the UW with Sun Linjang, ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Poland.

The University of Warsaw cooperates with more than a dozen universities from both mainland and non-continental China. It is a constantly developing cooperation and exchange of interests – we host many Chinese students, and young Poles are increasingly willing to travel to the Far East, not only to China, but also to Japan and South Korea,” said the UW rector.

During the meeting, the Chinese ambassador congratulated the Polish academic team with the participation of AZS UW athletes on their success at this year’s XXXI Summer Universiade in Chengdu.

“We hope to expand cooperation between the University of Warsaw and Chinese universities. We reckon that you will willingly welcome our students who wish to study in Poland”, said Ambassador Sun Linjang.
