On Tuesday, 21 November 2023, a meeting with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö will take place in the Ballroom of the Tyszkiewicz-Potocki Palace on the University of Warsaw (UW) campus at Krakowskie Przedmieście Street.
The topic of security in Europe and neighbouring regions will be discussed during the event. The meeting will be held in English.
Sauli Niinistö is a law graduate from the University of Turku. He was first elected to the Finnish Parliament in 1987. He served as Minister of Justice from 1995-1996 and then (1996-2003) as Minister of Finance. He later became vice-president of the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg. In 2007, he led the Finnish Parliament and in March 2012 became President of the Republic of Finland. After six years in office, he was elected for a second term.
