The Jan Amos Comenius Vocational State College in Leszno is inviting participants to the conference “Comenius Universe – from pansophy to globalization”. The conference will honor the celebration of the University’s Patron’s Day – May 14.

The organizers are proposing the following topics: The European dimension of the life and work of Jan Amos Comenius, The Philosophy of Jan Amos Comenius, Society and family in the concepts of Jan Amos Comenius, The universality of the pedagogical thought of Jan Amos Comenius and Reception of the views of Jan Amos Comenius over the centuries.

Leszno was one of the stops of Comenius’ life journey. It was the city where Comenius described his pedagogical ideas contained in Didactica magna, developed the concept of pansophy and enhanced his educational work, introducing innovative solutions. Staying in the Leszno Comenius had probably the most creative period in his activity.
