Warsaw students can receive support from PLN 500 to even PLN 1,500 per month. The call for applications for the scholarships of the capital city of Warsaw named after John Paul II is now open.

The scholarship programme is run by the John Paul II Centre for Thought and is addressed solely to students in Warsaw. For 17 years, the programme has supported talented young people involved in voluntary work and various social activities. Young people must also meet several formal criteria.

They must study in Warsaw. Regardless of where students are registered, where they come from, whether they have Polish citizenship or not, they can apply for scholarships as long as they study in Warsaw. The main formal criteria are also a grade point average of no lower than 4 and a monthly net income per member of their household of no more than PLN 2,000″, says Kinga Świstak of the John Paul II Thought Centre in an interview.
