The Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Warsaw and the Polish Association of Environmental and Resource Economists are organising a scientific conference “New challenges for sustainable development” on 28-29 September 2023.
The aim of the conference is to discuss theorists and practitioners dealing with sustainable development, to present research and activities undertaken by members of the Polish Association of Environmental and Natural Resource Economists and to integrate the scientific community and practitioners dealing with this topic.
During the deliberations, answers will be sought primarily to the following questions: What challenges to sustainable development arise from the current political and economic situation? What barriers can be diagnosed to achieving sustainable development goals? How do stakeholder groups (including, in particular, local authorities, companies, universities) practically implement the assumptions of sustainable development? What development challenges taking into account the principles of sustainable development are facing Poland, Europe and the world?
