Warsaw University begins cooperation with Mongolian Academy of Sciences

During a meeting between Polish President Andrzej Duda and Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, they concluded a cooperation agreement between the University of Warsaw (UW) and the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. On behalf of the University of Warsaw, the agreement was signed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Mongolia, Krzysztof Boyko, with the President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Prof. Duger Regdel.

Joint activities will include scientific research projects, academic exchanges and specialised training programmes in oriental studies, geography and archaeology.

The parties to the agreement also declare their readiness to organise conferences and initiatives of a cultural nature.

Prof. Agata Bareja-Starzyńska of the UW points out that the agreement is of a general nature and opens up possibilities for cooperation in many spheres, for example in Mongolian studies, archaeology, geography and geology.
