Warsaw University of Technology (PW) received the Award of the Congress of Electronic Economy and the “Promyk Słońca” Foundation for outstanding achievements in the use of new technologies for the people with disabilities.

The Award Committee took into account the entirety of WUT activities for people with disabilities. The university’s pro-social thinking, innovation, social sensitivity and building awareness of the public space available to everyone were appreciated.

It was emphasized that the research and teaching staff and students of the University of Technology are the authors of many inventions and innovative technological solutions that take into account the needs of people with disabilities. An example of such an action was the e-MaksPower project, resulting in the construction of an electric car for ten-year-old Maks suffering from muscle atrophy.
