Warsaw University of Technology to cooperate with POLFA Tarchomin

The combination of knowledge and experience in order to further develop, disseminate and promote scientific and technical knowledge are the main assumptions of the letter of intent regarding cooperation signed by the Warsaw University of Technology and Tarchomin Pharmaceutical Works POLFA SA.

The planned cooperation will include such areas as alternative electricity solutions, renewable energy sources, industry 4.0, chemical engineering, biotechnology, civil engineering, environmental engineering, logistics, electronics and materials engineering.

On behalf of the Warsaw University of Technology, the letter was signed by the Vice-Rector for Development, Prof. Adam Woźniak. POLFA SA was represented by the president of the management board, Jarosław Król, and a member of the management board, Tomasz Walicki.

POLFA Tarchomin is one of the oldest pharmaceutical companies in Europe. It has been operating on the market since 1823. The plant has 30 production lines, produces 50 products in over 120 different forms. It produces drugs in four basic therapeutic classes: antibiotics and anti-tuberculosis drugs, human insulins, psychotropic drugs, and dermatological drugs.
