From 3 to 5 July 2023, the University of Warsaw (UW) will host a conference, organised in collaboration with Times Higher Education – ‘Beyond resilience: How European higher education is preparing for the future’. Speakers will address the issues of strengthening the position of European universities in the world and cooperation with research institutions outside Europe.

During the event, Professor Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, will present the university’s vision of combined initiatives of European universities to create a leading and competitive zone in Europe for higher education from around the world.

The debate will also address cooperation between Eastern and Western European countries, as well as cooperation across economic, social and political divides.

The climate crisis, the war in Ukraine, economic instability, as well as the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic call for joint steps on the part of universities as centres for education, research and innovation.
