The ‘Propaganda and Disinformation Research’ team of the Institute of Political Sciences and Administration, Faculty of Political Science and Journalism of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin organized an international webinar on Russia’s propaganda and disinformation in Poland and Ukraine.

Expert Dmitry Zołotuchin, deputy minister of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine in 2017-2019 and Dr Adam Lelonko, Polish propaganda and disinformation analyst, president of the Foundation “Center for Propaganda and Disinformation Analysis” were invited to participate in the webinar.

The reason for the discussion were the papers presented by experts devoted to the “White Paper” of special information operations towards Ukraine in the years 2014-2018 and the propaganda and disinformation of the Russian Federation in Poland.

As part of the discussion, the participants discussed number of issues in the field of theory and methodology of research on propaganda and disinformation of the Russian Federation. In addition, information operations carried out by Russia in Poland and Ukraine were analyzed.
