The Welcome Centre has been officially opened on the campus of the Medical University of Wrocław (UMW). The ribbon was officially cut by the rector, Professor Piotr Ponikowski, and the vice-rector for university development strategy, Professor Marzena Dominiak.
“The Welcome Centre is the heart of the UMW, indicating our openness to internationalisation. It is the place where any foreign visitor will be able to come and find out what is happening on campus, what to do, how to get around. It is a hub of internationalisation opening up to all foreign students, staff and researchers”, said Prof Marzena Dominiak.
The direct tasks of the Centre’s team include: direct handling of cases of candidates for studies, postgraduate studies and doctoral schools; handling and supporting the cases of NAWA programme scholarship holders on full degree programmes; and providing information on legalisation of residence, rules for undertaking and financing studies for foreign students on full degree programmes.
