The website of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin was awarded in the nationwide competition “Website without barriers.” The jury awarded the service that complies with WCAG 2.0 requirements and has been consistently maintained and supplemented in a friendly way for people with disabilities.
WCAG 2.0 is a wide range of recommendations for creating websites to be more accessible. This award means that the service is friendly and adapted to the needs of people with various disabilities: blindness, partially sighted, deaf or with restricted organs.
The prize was won by Anna Czekalska, www.zut.edu.pl website coordinator and administrator, who creates the university website every day implementing WCAG 2.0 standards. She also trains content editors and coordinates their work.
