The AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow, together with the Krakow Technology Park, are seeking to establish a Polish branch of the NATO defence innovation accelerator in Krakow as part of the DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) programme.
Created by NATO, the aim of the DIANA accelerator is to bring together the competencies of scientists, innovators and start-ups working together on ‘deep tech’ (deep technology) solutions with defence and military sector units.
DIANA’s areas of interest will include disruptive new technologies, which include artificial intelligence, big data processing, space, quantum, autonomous, information and communication technologies, as well as biotechnology and advanced materials.
The programme is designed to develop technologies with the potential for so-called dual use, i.e. for both civilian and defence purposes.
