The Foundation for Polish Science selected the winners of the fifth competition in the FIRST TEAM program. Thirteen young researchers received grants of over PLN 26 million to create their first research teams.
The FIRST TEAM program supports young researchers in building academic self-reliance. Each grant amounts ap to approximately PLN 2 million and is intended for the implementation of team projects and undertaking the most interesting research challenges. Grants are financed from the funds of the Intelligent Development Operational Program.
In the group of winners of the 5th competition, up to four scientists are associated with the University of Warsaw. Two grants of the Foundation were awarded to researchers from the Faculty of Physics and one from the Faculty of Chemistry and the Center of New Technologies of the University of Warsaw.
