Wojciech Murdzek becomes the new minister of science and higher education

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki had addressed a request to President Andrzej Duda for the appointment of Wojciech Murdzek as the new minister of science and higher education – informed Piotr Müller, the government spokesman.

Wojciech Murdzek was the secretary of state at the Ministry of Development. He is an electronics engineer, mayor of Świdnica for many years, member of the Sejm of the 8th and 9th terms.
He has been a member of the Łukasiewicz Research Network Council.

He was born on December 13, 1957 in Świdnica. In 1981 he graduated from the Faculty of Electronics of the Wrocław University of Technology. At the same university, in 1988, he completed postgraduate studies in the Designing Microprocessor Systems, and in 2008 – postgraduate studies in the New Public Management at the International College of Logistics and Transport in Wroclaw.
