Researchers at the Department of Constitutional Law of the University of Wrocław and the Department of Computational Intelligence of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology have developed a model for the detection of electoral agitation that can be used to check the compliance of election campaigns with electoral law.
Both universities have been working together since last autumn. Together, they have applied for grants in areas combining law and data science, and every day they look for new applications of the achievements of data scientists from the University of Science in the field of legal sciences.
The developed model can be a help for journalists or researchers in the field of sociology and political science. The tool has already gained the recognition of the scientists dealing with computer linguistics and natural language processing. It was presented in the United States during the 58th Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics of the best global conference in the field of natural language processing.
