The Wrocław University of Economics (UEW) has once again been included in the group of universities awarded with the prestigious “HR Excellence in Research” logo. This is a real source of pride for the academic community.
“The European Commission’s maintenance of the consent to use the ‘HR Excellence in Research’ logo says, among other things, that we meet high standards related to the shaping of scientific and research and development working conditions. These include counteracting discrimination, conducting transparent recruitment processes, or implementing a work-life balance policy”, says UEW Vice-Chancellor Professor Ewa Stańczyk-Hugiet.
The guidelines to be met by a university to gain the right to use the ‘HR Excellence in Research’ logo are set out in the European Charter for Researchers. This document has been in place since 2005 and describes the rights and obligations of researchers, their employing institutions and research funding organisations.
