Scientists of the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław are actively participating in the TOPAS project (From Theoretical-Oriented To Practical Education in Agrarian Studies), which is to fill the gap in the Soviet higher education system in agricultural sciences in Armenia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The basic aim of the program is to introduce and improve student internship programs that will bring students closer to business practice in agribusiness – by supporting partnerships between universities and the agri-food sector, industry organizations as well as interested government institutions.
The TOPAS consortium creates 10 universities divided into two groups. The first are universities-partners from Germany, Great Britain and Romania, along with the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. The second group includes 6 universities from the former Soviet republics, but now the independent states – Armenia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
